Democratic Party Senate candidate Reverend Raphael Warnock addressed his supporters in Atlanta on Tuesday, as voters headed to the polls for the runoff special election in Georgia.

"I just want to say thank you to all of our supporters who have been with us on this great journey. I especially want to thank the members of labour. You all have heard my story by now," said Warnock.

Warnock is one of two Democratic candidates running in the two runoff elections taking place in the state, the results of which will determine which party will win control of the US Senate.

Democrats need both Warnock, and fellow candidate Jon Ossoff, to beat Republicans Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, respectively, in order to ensure a 50-50 tie in the Senate, allowing incoming Vice President Kamala Harris to act as the tie-breaking vote.

About the author: Republican
As a Republican I am a conservative but have a little libertarian leanings. I about 80% a Trump supporter. I agree with him most of the time but as I am a person that thinks for himself I don't go along with him just because he is the President. I am not like liberals that think their candidates are Gods and never wrong.
