Police van reportedly carrying WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange was filmed arriving at London’s Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. The whistleblower’s lawyers were set to make a fresh appeal for his release from prison.

On Monday, District Judge Vanessa Baraitser ruled that Assange would not be extradited to the US to face espionage charges because of concerns over his mental health and risk of suicide.

The US authorities are expected to appeal the decision within two weeks.
