A basketball game at the Ninth Primary School in Hunan District of Shenyang City might strike you as being a bit different from your regular match, as pupils play the game while riding unicycles, as seen on footage from Friday.
Pupils were seen playing basketball, skipping rope and solving Rubik’s cube all the while keeping their balance on a unicycle.
"I think riding the unicycle is good for the kids. The growth of a human is affected by natural growth and human intervention. I think unicycles give more space for kids to exercise, it is good for the growth of the children," said Hou Mingfei, the school principal.
The school reportedly started training students to ride a unicycle since 2017. Pupils practice it for two hours every day.
