French National Rally President Marine Le Pen said she was concerned that the US is now a ‘fractured’ country following the presidential elections while speaking at a press conference in Lisbon on Friday.

"Joe Biden is president of the United States, I’m expressing my strong worry, because I see a fractured country, which is profoundly divided, politically today, ethnically yesterday, and the multiplication of these divisions, with a background of increasingly violent behaviours," said Le Pen.

"I’ve indicated, and I repeat that I think Trump’s election was better for the interests of my country. Quite simply. Better for France’s interests. Now, I have condemned in the strongest possible way the events, where intruders vandalised the Capitol," she added.

Le Pen attended the press conference as part of election campaign of candidate for the Portuguese presidency Andre Ventura.

SOT, Marine Le Pen, National Rally President (French): "I’ve indicated, and I repeat that I think Trump’s election was better for the interests of my country. Quite simply. Better for France’s interests. Now, I have condemned in the strongest possible way the events, where intruders vandalised the Capitol. I think anyone has a right to contest in court an election which they believe is guilty of fraud, but in no case can one use violence to attack the democratic process. For me, things are extremely clear."

SOT, Marine Le Pen, National Rally President (French): "Joe Biden is president of the United States, I’m expressing my strong worry, because I see a fractured country, which is profoundly divided, politically today, ethnically yesterday, and the multiplication of these divisions, with a background of increasingly violent behaviours, with, I must say, media and tech giants who are not trying to appease but are throwing gasoline in the fire of those divisions. I’m very worried."

SOT, Marine Le Pen, National Rally President (French): "Closing restaurants in departments, or cities, or regions where the virus is circulating very little, is objectively harmful. Harmful for the economy, of course, harmful for the lives of our fellow citizens, so we need to be able to be as measured as possible in the decisions we take. We must also take science into account. There was a report by the Pasteur Institute, called the Fontanet Report, which clearly says in small businesses, there are no additional risks of spreading the virus."

SOT, Marine Le Pen, National Rally President (French): "I think we really need to think about treatments of COVID, now. I get the impression that we’ve completely abandoned the idea of finding a treatment or analysing which treatments could be effective against COVID, and of course, accelerating vaccinations, so that those who wish to be vaccinated can do so in the shortest timeframe. Treatment plus vaccinations should enable, of course, to see the end of this hell."

As a Republican I am a conservative but have a little libertarian leanings. I about 80% a Trump supporter. I agree with him most of the time but as I am a person that thinks for himself I don't go along with him just because he is the President. I am not like liberals that think their candidates are Gods and never wrong.
