The coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech has been approved for use in the UK. The first doses are expected arrive in the coming days, and it will be rolled out next week. The health secretary, Matt Hancock, told BBC Breakfast: ‘Help is on its way’. The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) authorised the vaccine for emergency use ahead of decisions by the US and EU
