Dozens of demonstrators gathered to protest the German coronavirus lockdown measures in Dusseldorf’s Rheinwiesen park on Sunday. The demonstration was organised by a group of coronavirus sceptics known as ‘Querdenken.’

There was a large police presence at the rally, and police were seen physically detaining those who were not wearing masks or disobeying the restrictive measures.

Due to the problems arising from the confrontations with the police, the group swiftly moved the demonstration after some attendees were detained. The group left the park and changed location, making their way to the Marktplatz where protests continued.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel originally announced a series of measures in March in order to curb the spread of coronavirus. The measures have been gradually eased nationwide. However, over the past weeks, the number of new infections has significantly increased, leading to more restrictive measures coming back into place.

As a Republican I am a conservative but have a little libertarian leanings. I about 80% a Trump supporter. I agree with him most of the time but as I am a person that thinks for himself I don't go along with him just because he is the President. I am not like liberals that think their candidates are Gods and never wrong.
